All our birds have been hand picked for their versatility and suitability for working with us and making sure you have the best day with us.
Here are our birds
Harris Hawks
Harris hawks are among the most popular birds used in falconry today. We currently have four Harris Hawks at the centre, Laura, Bucky, Domino and Billy-Jean. Harris Hawks originate from the Central South American Dessert. Their amenable temperament makes them a good all rounder.

Golden Eagle ~ Genghis
Genghis is the celebrity of the Falconry Centre. He is the largest bird we house here. Weighing in at 4200g and with a 6 foot wingspan it is a truely magnificent experience to watch him glide to your glove from 500 feet above you.

Bateleur Eagle ~ Batty
One of the most exotic looking birds of the prey the Bateleur eagle is not only beautiful to look but also has a memorable flying style.
Steppe Eagle ~ Boris
Boris is our 4 year old Russian Steppes Eagle. A carrion eating Eagle, Boris can soar hundreds of feet above our guests before returning to the glove.

Mexican Striped Owl~ Bella
Bella is a very pretty owl and has a most charming habit of blinking adding to her attractive appearance. The Mexican Stripped Owl is not known for its flying ability and tends to hunt primarily small mammals such as mice and rats. Bella is a very friendly owl who is liked by all our visitors to The Falconry Centre

Barn Owl~ Barny
With heart shaped face, buff back and wings and pure white under parts the barn owl is a distinctive and much loved countryside bird. You can see a myriad of colours in their feathers. Barny is particularly good with our younger visitors. He is a two year old British Barn Owl.

Cara Cara
Known as the bully boy of the wild, this scavenger comes from the Falkland Islands and while it can fly it prefers to look for food on the ground, which may have been left by other hunters.

European Eagle Owl ~ Dory
Dory is our 5 year old eagle owl. She has a magnificent 5ft wing span.
European Eagle Owls used to be native to the UK however as our forrests reduced, the owls moved back into Europe. Their main sronghold is now the Black Forrest in Germany.

Falcons
Impressive birds, which are reliable hunters, they are easy to train and fly to and from the lure without problems. As a breed they are mostly used to hunt ariel prey.
