Harris Hawks

Harris hawks are among the most popular birds used in falconry today. Their amenable temperament makes them a good all rounder.

Goshawks

A bird which is often seen but rarely touched the number of Goshawks in the UK is on the increase. They were originally called 'goose hawks', probably due to their size and finely-barred plumage.

Golden Eagle

The largest of our eagles this powerful bird has a wing span of between 6-7 feet and can depending on weather conditions soar up to 300 feet.

One of the most exotic looking birds of the prey the Bateleur eagle is not only beautiful to look but also has a memorable flying style.

Steppe Eagle

Steppe eagles are thought to be closely related to the tawny eagle with the Steppe eagle looking a bit neater and having a slightly shorter neck. Virtually all prey is taken on the ground by ambushing, chasing or by short stoop.

Mexican Striped Owl

Is a very pretty owl and has a most charming habit of blinking adding to its attractive appearance. The Mexican Stripped Owl is not known for its flying ability and tends to hunt primarily small mammals such as mice and rats.

Barn Owl

With heart shaped face, buff back and wings and pure white under parts the barn owl is a distinctive and much loved countryside bird. You can see a myriad of colours in their feathers.

Cara Cara

Known as the bully boy of the wild, this scavenger comes from the Falkland Islands and while it can fly it prefers to look for food on the ground, which may have been left by other hunters.

Common Buzzard

A scavenger and lazy by nature this is a mild natured bird which almost always hunts on the ground and has a gull like high pitched call.

Falcons

Impressive birds, which are reliable hunters, they are easy to train and fly to and from the lure without problems. As a breed they are mostly used to hunt ariel prey.
